I nominated Sonic/Dr. Robotnik. Are you calling me stupid?

Face it, Sonic/Knuckles is like Gokue/Piccolo. Rivals at one point but then Piccolo/Knuckles became a useless side character. Sonic/Shadow is like Goku/Frieza. Rivals for a short period of time. Sonic/Dr. Robotnik is like Gokue/Vegeta. Genuine rivals throughout the series

Pilaf is the little annoying dude who tries to thwart Goku on several occasions but always blunders pretty badly and is usually never a threat except maybe the first time, much like Robotnik.
