A SWAT team from Hungary's anti-terrorism department has raided one of the production warehouses for the upcoming big-budget horror adaptation "World War Z" according to Us Weekly (via The Wrap).
The officers confiscated 85 fully functional weapons -- the majority of them assault rifles -- despite paperwork indicating that they were non-functional. It's not yet known who is responsible for the mix-up, but it is known that the guns were reportedly flown in via private plane Monday in a parcel addressed to an individual in Budapest.
Brad Pitt stars and produces the Paramount Pictures and Plan B Entertainment film which chronicles the aftermath of a zombie war. No official response from either company has yet been issued.

Brandon Lee died because someone got the brilliant idea that instead of ordering bullet blanks, it would be cheaper to make their own by taking real bullets out of a cartridge, taking the propellent out, and then stuffing it back in as a cartridge that couldn't shoot. I thought something just got stuck in the barrel of the gun. Like a blank is exactly the same as a regular bullet, except instead of a lead ball at the end, it's just some paper. So you get the thrust of a regular bullet to whatever is inside the barrel. Obv, the paper just burns up, but yeah. You get the idea. Anyway, I could be wrong.

Yup. There are two kinds of blanks, one which has explosive power and one which does not. One bullet went off partially, lodging the bullet tip in the barrel but not expelling it as it was supposed to. Then they put an explosive blank in there, which normally would have been harmless, but had enough power to launch it into Lee and kill him.
