My worst habit is probably biting my lips and cheeks. I've been doing it for years and the closest I came to quitting was going 2 days without doing it.
I also crack my knucles, but I think that's more common and I don't do it nearly as often anymore.
Smoking cigs when I'm drunk is another one. And oversleeping and wasting time on the internet.

Well that was easy. This.
The biting cheeks and lips thing is something I apparently inherited from my father. His doctor told him to stop, neither of us can.

My worst is procrastinating until really late at night, telling myself "I'll just do it in the morning" and then sleeping way later than I wanted to and only leaving myself about 20% of the time I really need to get my work done.
Then I do a half-assed job. It is pretty much the only way I work.
I'm doing it right now.
I absolutely can't work until right before the deadline.
I hate myself for it.

My eyes literally skipped over this the first time. This applies to me as well. In fact I'm doing it as I type this (pfft, econ homework). However, this is a bad habit that I'm sure you'll find many of the members of this board suffering from.

Is cracking knuckles a bad habit? AFAIK the whole "it being bad for you" thing is a complete myth. It is annoying for others though I guess (I do it all the time, ALL the time. I even crack my toes now).
Hah me too Anri. I don't know how many unnecessary all nighters I have pulled so far in university. One way I have tried to counteract procrastinating is to fill up my schedule more so I don't have the time to waste. It doesn't seem to be working...
And yeah tyder, it's a really tough habit to stop. I've found that applying lip balm multiple times per day helps a bit, but I still bite my cheeks.

I gave up trying to counteract it in my sophomore year of college.
I just accepted that was the way it was gonna be and it at least cut down on the time I spent "pretending" I was going to work on it before the last minute.
