People do read the discussion topic. It's not hard to gloss over LMS's posts without reading them, and Tsunami actually posts interesting stuff. If you don't think so, it's just as easy to skip over his posts too.

Well, in my opinion, the best way to get more attention for the contest is to allow commentary on matches in progress. Imagine how dull sports or contest matches would be if we couldn't talk about them while they were in progress.
