Licensed characters who originate from outside of video games (comic book characters, movie characters), or characters who don't appear in the game themselves (only in supplemental material) will not be accepted.

That rule's always been in there.

Just read the rules more thoroughly. Perhaps you're right. Funny how Einstein vs. Hitler is okay, but Spy vs. Spy is not.
