Specifically, it somehow has this weird proxy setting that I have to manually go in and disable EVERY TIME I open the browser. For some odd reason it refuses to save my settings in the options menu. Anyone have any advice?

Yeah, I'm getting sick of Firefox breaking all of my applications.

I might make the jump to Chrome if it weren't for all my passwords and stuff being saved on Firefox already.

That, and I'm paranoid enough to believe that if I use it, Google will always be watching.

Chrome can import bookmarks/bookmark bar from Firefox. I was hesitant about switching, but after a few weeks, I wish I had done so months ago.

Just apply this trick for all your broken add-ons (set the maxversion higher, though)

Alternatively, download the add-on compatibility reporter add-on.

Bit the bullet and got Chrome.

What are some must have extensions?

I have both Firefox and Chrome on this computer, and am refusing to upgrade Firefox.

Laptop has the new version of it though, but I've not had any issues.

The same ones you had on FF, really. Most of them are on Chrome in some form. I only use clickable links and GameChrome.
