I guess it's because they skipped a gen, but... you'd think that they'd patch it or something, like they did for Xbox games on 360. It's just as bad as emulating it on a computer (with the disc, mods!)

uh, the ps3 does not emulate ps1 games. it has ps1 hardware in it.

How do you know it's not a problem with your disc

My PS1 games do that kind of stuff even on the PS1 anymore because the discs have taken a little abuse over the years

Your disc is screwed up. I've played the whole trilogy on my PS3, no problems.

It's probably because your disc has scratches.

You can buy Spyro 2 off PSN for pretty cheap to replace it.
