They saw fit to include lasers on the A button, the most annoying button to press on the system! And it's been that way at least since the DS Lite when Mario Kart gave me carpal tunnel. Seriously, that button is the worst.

And it's the default configuration no less!

Why does inverted Y axis and uninverted Y axis BOTH feel wrong? What is my brain trying to do here? Press up to ascend AND descend, and it should just know which one I want? Actually, that would be ideal if they could do that.

You can choose two mappings, but Y is bombs in both of them. You just get to switch lasers and brakes between A and B.

Oh god, this has happened to me. On topic, I remember changing the DMC3 controls so that they were the same as DMC1, but the examine button stayed the same so I had to do some fancy maneuver to hit those torch statues.
