Whoa man... chillax. Silvercross posted the last update at 4:30 am my time and, seeing as how today is Saturday, I didn't even wake up until noon. You can consider early morming the low-traffic time of GFAQs message boards. Doesn't mean no one's interested. Just means hardly anyone is on GFAQs at the time.

Aaaanyway...

C- we need a replacement gun and screwdriver. Hell. An extra backpack for Sarah and an extra hammer couldn't hurt either.

Preferably C while asking Sarah if she knows 1) What code opens the Armory and 2) If there's even anything IN the Armory worth looting.

“Good point. Well let’s go to the supply room then, I need to grab something.” You exit the cell and walk behind Sarah over towards the door to the supply room. Sarah follows you and watches you carefully. You open the door and head directly to the locker with the combination lock. You enter the combination. 6. 10. 11. The lock pops open and you quickly reach into the locker and grab the bag.

From the bag you grab the gun, the extra magazine, and the UCC. You put them into your messenger bag and throw the other bag back into the locker. You also go back into the cabinet with the toolbox and grab another hammer and a new screwdriver and you throw them into your bag.

You look over at Sarah, who has a strange look on her face. Even though she knows who you are and what you can do, she looks a little frightened by you. Maybe it’s your silence, and the cold reception you’ve given her. This time around, she doesn’t have much of your personality to go on. You simple thrust her into this situation.

You stop what you’re doing and check in with her. “Sarah, are you okay?”

“Yeah, it’s just... this is really strange.” Her response is quiet and reserved. You decide you should probably be less demanding and a little more open with her.

“I know it’s strange, but you’re doing the right thing helping me.” You pause briefly. “Thank you.”

Sarah smiles at you. You really are thankful. Without her, you’d probably still be in that cell, yelling out the window at random people in the alley. “Well, I took this job because I like helping, but it wasn’t exactly what I thought it would be.”

“What do you mean?” You think about it and realize that you don’t actually even know what Sarah does.

“Nothing. It’s not important. Come on, where to next?”

A) Head to the guards locker room.
B) Try to sneak into the offices.
C) Ask Sarah to open the Armory for you.
D) Ask Sarah to help you escape the building.
E) Other (Please specify)

C) Ask Sarah to open the Armory for you (but don't actually go in yourself - I think it would be less suspicious to the Guards if they only saw her enter and bring stuff out).

“What’s in the Armory?” you ask. The thought of the Armory has lingered in your mind since before you shifted for the first time.

“I don’t actually know.” Sarah responds. “We don’t really use this floor ever, and I’ve never been inside.” Sarah curls her mouth to the side as if to say she’s sorry.

You don’t seem to care about her response. “Well let’s go check it out anyway.”

You and Sarah leave the supply room, closing the door behind you. You make your way down the hall, making sure to avoid being seen in the cameras. You turn the corner and walk towards the Armory door. As you get closer, you look up at the camera facing the door. The camera almost seems to be taunting you, as does the keypad.

You slide yourself up against the wall opposite the Armory door, making sure that you’re well out of view of the camera. “Sarah, can you open the door and tell me what’s inside? If the camera sees me, we’re toast.”

“I can try. I don’t know the code though.” Sarah replies, a hint of nervousness in her voice.

“You guys have default codes and things right? It’s probably an old code, so just try anything you know.”

“What about the camera? Don’t you think it’s a little weird for me to be going in here? If someone sees me, they’ll think something is up.” Sarah says.

“That’s a risk I’m willing to take.” you say. “Just see if you can get it open, we don’t have much time.”

Sarah sighs, and turns her attention to the door. The door is large and metal with the word Armory across it; the word that once stood proud and clear, now faded from age. She approaches the keypad, entering the view of the camera. The keypad is almost identical to the one on your cell door. She tries a combination of numbers. A red light above the keypad flashes. She tries another sequence of numbers, ending with the same result. She tries one last number sequence before giving up and turning back to you. “I don’t know it. Unless you’ve got some other way to get in there, I think this is a lost cause.”

A) Give up and try to sneak into:
1) The guard locker room
2) The 6th floor offices
B) Find a way out of the building with Sarah.
C) Other (Please explain)

You consider the situation for a second, placing your hand to your face while you remain deep in thought. “How many guards are downstairs?” you ask Sarah.

“You’re not seriously thinking of trying to get into the locker room are you?” You look at Sarah, saying nothing. A slight smile appears on your face. You pull the button out of your pocket and twist it around proudly in the air. “Alright fine, but if something happens to me...”

“Nothing will happen Sarah. How many guards are there?” you repeat your question.

“There are three guards down in the lobby, where the door to the maintenance hall is. One at the desk in front of the door who watches the stairs, one at the front desk watching the monitors, and another who patrols the lobby. I can’t guarantee that there won’t be any inside of the locker room. The guards on all floors use it, so someone could be in there even if all lobby guards are accounted for.” Sarah’s tone tells you that she’s not convinced this is a good idea. The button makes you think that this is in fact, a wonderful idea. Three guards shouldn’t be a problem for two people with guns and the upper hand.

“Do you trust me Sarah?” You ask sincerely.

“I guess so, yeah.” she responds.

“Well then get your gun ready and let’s go.” You begin walking down the hallway, knowing that Sarah will follow. You hear Sarah’s footsteps close behind you as you turn the corner and make haste towards the stairs. “She’s a sweet girl,” you say to yourself, “I almost feel bad for putting her through all of this. Almost.” You push through the unlocked double doors that lead to the stairwell and with Sarah right behind you, you descend into the hornet’s nest.

You approach the bottom of the stairwell, your footsteps echoing up the hollow shaft, and tell Sarah to check if the coast is clear. “Sarah, I need you to open the door and tell me what you see out there. I can’t risk letting them see me.”

Sarah nods, and slowly cracks open the stairwell door. She sticks her head out and then pulls it back in quickly. “Okay, directly to my left is a security desk with one of the guards sitting at it. Behind him is the door for maintenance access, and access to the locker room. Directly across from him, about 30ft away, is the security desk with all of the monitors. Another guard is there, and he’s focused intently on the monitors. The third guard is walking around, but he’s over by the elevators and shouldn’t be able to see over here. They're all pretty heavily armed though, so if something goes wrong, we're screwed.” Sarah’s description paints a pretty clear picture of your situation. “What should we do?”

A) Have Sarah physically distract the guards so you can slip by.
B) Have Sarah tell the guards about an emergency on a different floor.
C) Try to sneak by without doing anything.
D) Don’t risk it an try to escape the building instead.

You think carefully about your decision. “Can you get out there and tell them there’s an emergency on an upper floor? Tell them Dr. Leonard needs everyone up there right now.” you explain. “Although, if we do that, we have to know that they’ll figure out it isn’t real soon enough.”

“Right, we’ll only have about 5 minutes before they come back, and when they do, they’re gonna be pretty scabbed.”

“Scabbed?” you ask with a puzzled look on your face.

“Future slang. Get with the times.” She sticks her tongue out at you. “Okay, wait here.” Sarah pulls her gun out to complete the illusion of an emergency. She peeks her head out of the door and runs out into the lobby, yelling something that you can’t quite make out as the door closes. You’re excited to see Sarah taking such initiative and being so friendly. Maybe you should be nicer to her.

The yelling continues only briefly before you hear the sounds of boots hitting the floor. The footsteps get closer and closer to the door. You run and hide under the staircase. There’s nothing for you to hide behind, so it’s possible they’ll be able to see you through the slats. The door slams open as three guards cram into the stairwell and up the stairs. Thankfully, they don't seem to notice you. You wait a moment for them to get a flight up before you leave your hiding spot. You run out into the lobby. Sarah stands at the maintenance door, waving you over. “Come on, hurry!”

You head behind the desk, bumping into a chair as you run past it. It falls to the ground with an incredible racket. You pass through the door, Sarah right behind. You both jog over to the locker room door. A keypad stares you in the face. “Move.” Sarah says. She enters a password into the keypad and a green light appears over the numbers. The door unlocks and you both slip inside.

Once inside, you have no time to catch your breath. You start to throw open the lockers frantically, looking for clothes and anything else worth scavenging. In one locker, you find a full guard outfit, complete with kevlar vest and helmet. You start to put on the pants, but you notice that the sizes are way too big for you. You look ridiculous and there's no way you'll be able to move correctly in these. You throw the clothes back into the locker, and as you do, you spy another magazine for a gun. It might not fit your gun, but you decide to grab it anyway. You slip it into your bag. You also keep the kevlar vest with you.

Sarah stands in the door way with her gun drawn, watching and waiting. “Are you almost done? We have to get out of here.” she whispers, her whisper almost as loud as her normal talking voice.

“Almost. Just need a few more minutes.”

Two minutes pass as you continue to search lockers. Most of them are locked, but you finally find another open locker. Inside the locker you find some street clothes. Khaki pants, a t-shirt, a nice black jacket, and sneakers. You try the pants on and they fit perfectly. You put the shirt on, and then the kevlar vest over it. You throw the jacket on and zip it up over the vest.

Sarah whisper-yells over to you. “They’re back! I can hear them talking out in the lobby. We have to go. NOW.” There’s a hint of fear in her voice, something you remember from the first time you ran away from her. You don’t like it.

You quickly slip the shoes on and grab your bag. You head for the door and Sarah grabs you and pulls you away from it. “No, someone’s coming. What should we do?”

A) Hide in the locker room and hope he doesn’t find you.
B) Wait in the locker room and ambush the guard.
C) Run out the door and down the hall back into the maintenance area.
D) Press the button.
