I mean, I'm sending them my resume and transcript, already. I can write 500 words on why they should accept me based on my "academic honors, leadership ability, extracurricular activities, or professional involvement," but like, the resume and transcript already do that. If they wanna see that I can actually write intelligently, why can't they just ask for a short essay I've written previously that would be more interesting than a regurgitation of other stuff I'm sending in anyways?
