Because I've just watched it, and I don't know if it's because my expectations were too high, but it just seemed like a good episode, somewhat decent.... but far from being amazing.
Didn't really give me an urge to watch the next episodes like, say Six Feet Under or The Walking Dead pilots.

It was one specific user who said the pilot was one of the best episodes of any TV show... the board as a whole just thinks it's a great show.

yeah pilot's just decent, not my favorite episode of season one. personally to me it's not episodes that are 'mindblowing' or powerful, it's specific scenes. i'd put up the 10 best five-minute clips of Breaking Bad against any other show.

the pilot is actually one of the worst episodes and it's already great stuff
