Going in blind is best for this game imo. Makes a lot of the endings more tense and suspenseful, so I wouldn't recommend going straight for the true ending, as you can skip text you've read already on subsequent playthroughs anyways.
I have some pretty strong thoughts regarding this game, not all of them good, but I agree that going in blind is best. Don't focus too much on getting this ending or that ending your first couple of times, just enjoy the game.
Going in blind is a bad idea since it's possible to get the safe ending first by random chance, and that basically ruins all of the other endings. The coffin ending is also a bad idea to get, because yeah it's a waste of time. The ideal thing to do is get the 3 bad ends first.
EDIT: You know what, I'm going to put a recommended play order in the message detail, so click message detail if you decide you'd rather not waste your time.
I got the sub ending first and IMO it is the best first ending But maybe because it was my first so I say this...but I dunno...
*SPOILERS!!!!*
It's just make you feel...hopeless Unlike the Knife and Axe ending that are kinda sudden, this one dragged quite a while and making you feel like you are losing this with each step you take
I got the Coffin ending first, and felt that it actually improved my experience, even if you'll see everything in it when you get the true ending. I think it increases your understanding of what happens when you go through the bad endings. That said, if you don't get it first it is kinda pointless.
I would definitely recommend you go in blind though. Half of the fun is not knowing which ending you're going to get the first couple of times.
