Met up with an old friend at a bar, and she was giving me directions as we were leaving. I pulled into the street. There were a bunch of one way streets, which I haven't dealt too much with, so I ended up turning into the middle lane, only for her to tell me at the last minute to turn right. He turned on his lights as he was nearing the end of the street while I was turning right off it, so, again, being used to regular roads, I looked for somewhere on the right(far side) to pull over, going across multiple lanes again.

To top all this off, my license has an out of date address, which I've never bothered to change.

I explained the situation to him, and that I don't know the area well, and that I was just taking my friend home. He went to his car, came back five minutes later(and was very friendly the whole time) and handed me a written warning, explaining how he could have given me at least four tickets totalling over $700, but because I was new to the area decided only to give a warning. He also thanked me for driving my friend home.

On the way back to her house, we decided to stop at a park and go for a walk. As we were walking up the path away from the car he came around, and headed up the path towards us, stopping us again. It was at this point that he actually apologized for stopping us, explaining that the park was closed at night, and how he felt like a dick for "stopping two kids doing their thing", and spent five minutes actually trying to think of somewhere else we could go late night before saying we could probably figure something out, introducing us to his dog(an adorable yellow lab! :3) and giving us stickers(because he couldn't think of anything else).

All in all it was a good night.
