- Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown coming to XBLA/PSN. apparently it's the definitive version of the game with completely overhauled controls, mechanics and new characters. - Mortal Kombat Collection (Kollection) coming next week for XBLA and PSN. $10, includes MK1/2/3, online play. it's not an 'hd remix' or a rebalance or anything like that. between this, VF5 and Third Strike Online Edition coming out tomorrow, XBLA and PSN are where it's at for fighters.

- Speaking of 3rd Strike, it's getting big reviews so far. 9/10 from Eurogamer, 9/10 from IGN.

- Deus Ex 3 came out today. this is only news-worthy because Final Fantasy XXVII was confirmed ingame.

- Nintendo announces that a 3DS show is scheduled for September 13, just ahead of Tokyo Game Show.
