Personally, I'm really surprised King Harkinian (from the Zelda CD-i games) never made it in. I actually signed up for the site just to nominate him back in '08, and back then, Zelda CD-i was the internet meme. He seemed to have a lot of support, and I'm still shocked he was snubbed that year.

I'm also glad Barret Wallace is a NRT winner this year, because the dude really should have been in a contest years ago.

I didn't say Zelda CD-i is for everyone! But back then (and even today, to a lesser degree), it did have a surprisingly large cult following. The CD-i boards also had quite a few people voicing their support for Harkinian during the '08 nomination period, and I think he had some supporters here on B8 too.

I prefer the elevator version where Cloud says, "You're givin' me the willies."

It's lines like that and "Let's mosey" that make me sometimes think Cloud was a good old-fashioned country redneck.

It always seems like there are some characters who never got a nom.

I'm surprised that moron Wakka never got one; then again, neither did Sonya Blade, Jax and a host of other MK characters who have some serious clout. Then again, fighting game characters always fail in these contests.

Slippy Toad/Wolf/Peppy Hare should all get a chance someday... I'd love to see Navi on one of these contests. I think it would be a real sight to see. Waluigi will probably get a nom eventually....Personally, I'd like to see Garrus Vakkarian on the list as well.

I'm sure we'll see John Marston get nommed soon.

There've been 271 entries into the character contests, btw (not counting nomination rounds on the forums, etc.).

I forgot about Red XIII and Cait Sith.
