oh right, i did come across them a few weeks ago. a friend uploaded a ton of pictures individually to mediafire (they were very, very large pictures) and I was downloading them en masse. I ran into the captcha after about 15 downloads in three minutes. It's probably their way of making sure a human is downloading all these files.

were you downloading a lot before you saw a captcha?

I'm pretty serious about chocobos.

I use jdownloader and it's always been a blessing up to now to run into mediafire things since most other ones use captchas the program can't recognize. kind of unpleasant!

jdownloader recognizes medaupload, rapidshare, and other captchas. it updates regularly as well.
