"a kind of floating petri dish for implementing policies that libertarians, stymied by indifference at the voting booths, have been unable to advance: no welfare, looser building codes, no minimum wage, and few restrictions on weapons."

That would be hilarious if they made it happen, but due to structural shortcomings as a result of looser building codes, the whole thing collapsed, sunk and they all died...

ya right you are case the sunglasses have 3d so i can see right threw their clothes -ertyu (about wearing sunglasses to stare at boobs without girls noticing)
This is why I choose to never associate myself with the libertarian party. Why is it that "economically right, socially left" is the ideology that attracts all the crazies?

sprinkle enough of these across the oceans and they could form their own confederation or something. then they can fight the mainland and it will be like gundam on the high seas...

There is no shame in not knowing; the shame lies in not finding out
A society free of moochers and beauracracy sounds like utopia to me, although it would never work out as good as projected. I think libertarians are the only political party that actually want to lawfully abide by and uphold the constitution.
What actually went wrong in Bioshock that brought down the utopia?

Nothing actually. I think B8 voted Rapture as the second best gaming world they'd like to live in behind Pokemon (which won by an overwhelming margin).

....Obviously something went wrong. Are you saying that it was more of a random event then a systematic flaw?

How did a socialist gain power in a libertarian enclave?

it sounds like it wasn't much of a utopia if someone was able to take power "for the people". I think that would imply people feeling unhappy with the way things are going.

I'm "kind of a big deal". http://img.imgcake.com/cyclo/Cyclopngegpngre.png
It was more Ryan decided to ban things that couldn't be easily banned, like religion. Fontaine came along with his 'Hey guys, I'll totally let you have your religion and **** if you become my army' and things kind of snowballed from there

We are thought, and reality, and concept, and the unimaginable
Hmm, sounds like it was not very close to the libertarian ideal in the first place then!
