I sign my name at least 10 times a day on various documents and every now and then it comes out looking so weird and in no way looking like my name. But then i try to duplicate that and it just comes out normal. Sometimes I think my hand is just ****ing with me.
a few years ago when i started signing a lot of letters to clients for work. my first name + longish last name turned into a 'D' and then a couple circles
About six years ago. Part of my job involved bulk-signing letters, and I swapped my "just write quickly" technique for "stylised J and squiggle" to save time/my wrist. Not at that job any more, but my signature never went back to anything remotely resembling letters.

"I'm Commander Shepard, and you're standing in the biggest library in Citadel Space. Look me up."
Around five years ago my signature went from nice cursive to the scribbly mess it is now. Hasn't changed since.

Will not remove this line of my signature until the Seahawks, Jazz or Rockies win a title (Started 5-16-09) Yes, I know I'm never getting rid of this signature
About a year ago I just said screw it, my signature is so bad with me trying that I'll just not. But everyone does first letter and scribbles, so I do the first three letters then it just sorta ends

boring and mundane signature Now with more bold!Less Italics due to bold
A couple years ago when I actually started to sign things for my life. My first name is pretty distinguishable, but my last name is basically 3 readable letters and the rest is just a scribble.

I have two different signatures: one under normal circumstances which is perfectly legible (my cursive is far better than my print, that's for sure), and one for when I'm in a rush which is the first initial of my given name followed by some squiggles and the first initial of my surname followed by some slightly more varied squiggles (I have tall letters in my last name).
