What do you think people would pay for and what do they pay for in LoL? They can charge for avatars, hats, etc. whatever, I don't really care. They're not going to charge for heroes or anything that matters, and that's fine with me.

It's not a requirement to pay for weapons and hats in TF2 but you sure seem to flip your s*** over that

But I don't know whether or not they'll charge for heroes in dota 2, but you better f***ing believe they'll do cosmetic features for real money, and Valve has already demonstrated that people will pay for that

For instance, if you wanted the Croc hat you would be at the mercy of the drop system for metal and weapons, not even accounting for everything else you need to craft.

If I want a new hero in LoL, I just play for a week and unlock them when I choose.

Being as Ice Frog is on the team, he's probably going to be telling them it's a bad idea to require time for unlocking heroes. At least someone should realize that would be a terrible idea. All aspects of actual gameplay should be available from the get-go.
