I couldn't imagine them actually doing that. Wouldn't that defeat the point of 3ds if they are putting their games on another mobile unit?

read it earlier and laughed out loud at work. i don't know who these 'investors' are but i'm thinking it's just one or two dumbasses who are vocal and don't know anything while everyone else looks at them, blinks, and ignores them.

I don't think they mean putting serious games on iphones, but if they bring their casual franchises to iOS that could work pretty well. Nintendo has a pretty huge install base, many Wii owners that only use it for Wii Fit or whatever dumb crap... make a Wii Fit app for $5 that is basically a fancy pedometer, iphone users would eat that **** up, get infinite money.

Or just nintendogs or something

But wouldn't Nintendo rather they play Wii Fit and Nintendogs on the Wii and DS? Nintendo got pretty close to selling as many balance boards as Sony had PS3 at one point.

They already do

People love buying the same product multiple times. Nintendo can market to both install bases by saying that you're missing the 'full experience' unless you augment your Wii/DS versions with the iphone apps.

Then again, that stuff usually works best when you have web/cloud-based stat services and such, which Nintendo is not the most focused at.
