Ye Gods Bachmann is terrible. Why is she wasting all her time going after Pawlenty? Does she not realize that she's polling as a legitimate contender and he is a literal nobody?

It was kinda hot though and I'm glad she did it. Yeah, it's probably bad overall for her, but as a woman, isn't there lingering subconscious thought that she's delicate and can't throw down? I like that she can take a punch and throw back.

Romeny is laughing all the way to the nomination though. Guy just brushes everyone else aside like they're flies.

Yeah, it's not a big debate and Obama/Romney is very likely despite all of this, but it's not meaningless.

Yeah, Paul is his only real challenger. Romney is killing though, he's going against Obama while all the rest of them are going against each other. He's projecting as if he has already won, which helps him win. Smart guy. Smart staff at least.

However, be warned, that President Paul may bring far more dramatic change than President Obama.

You know, I'm not really sure about this. As a strict constitutionalist, Ron Paul respects the limited role of the executive branch. He would make Congress do their own damn job creating the laws. The only radical change he would institute is restoring the executive to its proper role, which was pretty much undone by Teddy Roosevelt and we never really looked back.

If you really want hope and change, elect Ron Paul, the man who's actually voted against all those things we're unhappy about now. However, be warned, that President Paul may bring far more dramatic change than President Obama.

i.e. There's a significant risk we're going to get Great Depression 2 complete with 20%+ unemployment if Ron Paul gets his way. And as president, he will, unless 2/3 of both houses of Congress wants to override his veto.

Right, but it's not like "If elected President, Ron Paul will immediately abolish the income tax."

He may BELIEVE in abolishing the income tax, but he also acknowledges that the President isn't supposed to be a dictator and just order all of his beliefs into law.

Well, he voted against raising the debt ceiling, and his position was that he was against raising the debt ceiling regardless of the cuts that were going to be made. As president, he can veto the next debt ceiling increase. Anything that has an expiration date basically would be vulnerable.

Well yes. The President is supposed to veto legislation he believes is inappropriate. But he is not supposed to legislate himself.

Anyway, you can really hear that Paul's crowd showed up tonight. I'm guessing a few of them have already been escorted out by security.
