Depends. Chandelure has super high special attack, but kind of disappointing speed. Volcarona is strong and fast, and Quiver Dance just makes it insane.

If your friends don't use Stealth Rock then definitely use Volcarona. If they do then still use it, but you'll have to be a bit more careful.

Yeah, for Wi-Fi or in-game? Larvesta doesn't evolve until level 59, so if you want one for the E4, better go with Chandelure. For Wi-Fi, I dunno. I haven't been keeping up on metagame stuff. Pretty sure they're both good, though I think Chandelure is mostly popular for it's DW ability (which obviously doesn't exist legally yet). Otherwise I think it's too slow and frail for a lot of stuff.

No Gen V Pokemon have access to their DW abilities except Musharna and Darmanitan.

Yeah, the downside is that Volcarona takes ages to train. It evolves so late, and Fiery Dance is only learned at level 100. But if you're willing to stick with it, it can be great. For in-game use, you probably won't have time to raise it until you're done with everything.

It's kind of impossible for most Gen 5 Pokemon to appear in the Entralink forest, so aside from possible events, DW Gen 5 Pokemon probably won't appear until a new version.

Chandelure has 2(3) immunities and 2 weaknesses, and 6(5) resists. More Special attack(reaches beyond some ubers) but modest speed. better abilities. Fire and Ghost.

Volcarona has 5 resists, 2 weaknesses that explode him. Not as much special attack, but more special defense and quite fast, can boost them. Fire and Bug.

Most Gen 5 Pokemon don't have overworld sprites, even some that do don't face in all directions, so they can't appear in the forest.

Volcarona's awesome and definitely better then non-Tag Chandelure, but you will want Fiery Dance and it's level 100, so...judge accordingly.
