Say, like, six pints of other people's blood put in you. How long does it take for that blood to be replaced by your own? I mean, if more of the blood in you is someone else's than your own, surely if you got your blood DNA tested the next day, the other person's DNA would be more prominent, right?

I make no claims to know how blood and that works in any great detail other than the heart pumping it about and re-oxygenating it or something.

Anyhow, Google has failed me, so I turn to the medical experts on Board 8.

As I posted this, my friend pointed out the incredibly relevant case studies of both Samus Aran and Jennifer Walters who had a Chozo and Hulk blood transfused years ago and are still part-Chozo and She-Hulk.

I think that goes a long way to answering my question.

Also, I know DNA is in the blood, but I'm not 100% sure that's how they would check for it.

I seriously have no idea, this topic just made me think of that video in Jurassic Park.

I apologize, and I will now leave.

Thank you.

This reminds me of something I've always wondered.

You lose your hand, but you are able to graft on a replacement hand, but it has a different skin color.

When the skin cells die and your body makes new ones, would it make them in the color of the hand or in your own color?

I saw a program where 3 people all recieved organs from one doner (2 got a kidney each and one got the liver). Several days later, they all started acting crazy, went into comas and eventually died. When the CDC tracked down information on the doner, they discovered that although he allegedly died of a cocaine overdose (it was found in his system and when he died, he had been in the ER acting crazy and showing signs of having way too much coke). However, they investigated and learned he had contracted rabies from a bat that bit him because he had a bat infestation in his house. The rabies was passed to the recipients of his organs.

No, that was an episode of Scrubs.
