I think blitz is pretty cool, but there's a lot more fun things to do in this game so I never really bother with it. With auto movement it's a disaster though, full manual makes it a math fighter alla dissidia, which is pretty neat. I forgot to set it, but the cutscene for winning is minimal and I just want Exxy to get on with the game. The occasional "...er?" moment the game throws at me narrative-wise is more than made up by the level of depth and consistency with the characters -- and more importantly the impressive amount of development almost all of them receive by game's end. I'm easily able to look past the flailing hand motions and "Yuuuunie!" proclamations of Rikku, for example, as her character is taken in interesting directions and there is a surprising level of substance behind her mannerisms and motivations. It's like when I first watched my lil sis play this game. She was driven to tears, it was nice to share something with her. Despite it being sad. Same goes for my best buddy here.
