Unfortunately I've seen entire YouTube LPs of Final Fantasies VII and VIII. It's been over a year since I finished the latter and over two years since I finished the former, but I know most of the key plot events. Oh well, it'll make things even better if I get surprised somehow!

There's the issue. You shouldn't be arguing why you like it. Liking something doesn't mean you should think it's good, and if you're going to overlook obvious flaws and call it good, than you deserve to be laughed at.

I like plenty of terrible things. But I don't pretend they're good.

disagree. It is a good game (not great). I would say FFVII holds that title even though I dont consider it the best jrpg (though it is very good)
