I guess in canon Luke is as strong as Anakin would've become, but that doesn't make a whole ton of sense to me.

Yeah, EU Luke is easily the strongest.

But I think in terms of most awesome moments Jacen gives him a real run for the money. Some of the crap he pulls off is mind bendingly amazing.

Anakin Solo had a few bright moments of awesome, but nothing crazy powerful, just "good for his age" sort of impressive.

Well EU Luke and Palpatine were said to be the strongest but I think some could take them on

Examples

Darth Sion: He only died cause he chose to (he could've just kept regenerating)

Darth Nihlus: This guy could walk on a planet and kill it (he was basically hax)

The "Force Wielders" from Clone Wars (these guys were also hax)

EU Luke isn't just the strongest. He is easily the strongest.


Some of the leaps he takes in "power level" are DBZ-esque in nature.

Anakin Solo might have given luke a run for his money at some point. But by the time Anakin would really have come into his own luke would be seriously aging and so you would have to compare peak luke to peak Anakin.

But of course Anakin died so there goes that possibility >_<''

Indeed. I would have very much liked to see an Anakin / Tahiri team persist throughout the EU. This is most likely related to my having read the Junior Jedi Knights series several times in early elementary school or something. As a somewhat interesting / depressing point related to the issue (Containing the same spoilers being presently discussed):





During the planning stage of The New Jedi Order series, Anakin was to be the main hero who would eventually take up Luke's role as the leader of the Jedi Order. But the proposal was rejected by George Lucas, who felt that Anakin's trajectory followed his namesake's plotline in the prequels too closely; thus, creating confusion. As a result, the roles of Anakin and Jacen were reversed, which included the death later scheduled in Star by Star.

Of the ones I read Darksaber was about as ridiculous as it got, with all the students hurling boulders into Tie-Fighters and whatnot.

Also if you can stomach Kevin J. Anderson then read some of his stuff too starting with the Jedi Academy Trilogy.

I enjoyed KJA when I was younger but I've found that I have more or less grown out of liking his style. Which is a shame because I like some of the plot lines that he has used, but I just have a low tolerance for his writing now.
