Kenshi (Mortal Kombat)- 400 points


The first deadliest warrior was actually pretty big and supposedly pretty good as well. This time around, theres new fighters and a new risk type mode. Could be good.

Dead Block looks like a weird Tower Defense/zombies blend, I don't think it looks that good but we'll see. Some sources have said it's coming out on the 6th, others have said the 20th, considering thats Summer of Arcade week, I'm guessing it will be out on Wednesday.

as for the deals of the week, the main ones are Torchlight 33% off, now 800 points. And stacking is 50% off, at 600 points now.

starting next week, **** gets real. Ms Splosion Man is due out next week, then summer of arcade starts up the week after.

Also, if you haven't yet, and you are an XBLA fan, check out http://rewards.xbox.com/ , it basically rewards you when you buy stuff, renew your gold, etc. In July, for every 2 games you buy worth 800 or more, you get 200 points back, so it's worth signing up.

Yeah, it let them focus much more on the personality of the characters, instead of just generic "Spartan" and "Ninja."

The other thing I like is that Spike Games has an actual presence on the DW game board here and at other forums, and actually ask for input/post news/etc.

On the PSP, maybe. XBLA version, no thank you.

I played the demo (on both platforms) and it just feels like a handheld game.

I don't see the problem with playing it on a console at all. Puzzle Quest was a "handheld game" and was still a lot of fun too.

todays the day to get torchlight or stacking if you want them!

if you want MY THOUGHTS, I thought torchlight was pretty fun but it's just not my thing. make sure you are an absolute loot lover if you jump in, because you spend way too much time in menus sorting through that stuff for my liking.

stacking had potential, it has some cool puzzles, multiple solutions, and a hint system. This helps take away some of the annoyance I have with some adventure games. But then, it has no story and no real characters, which I think is needed for this particular genre. You also spend way too much time wandering around looking for the right dolls in the later sections (especially since you can only stack into dolls one size higher than you). And to top it off, for $15, it's only about 4 hours of content. for 600 if you really like adventure games, you might enjoy it, but I was a little disappointed.

also I checked the leaderboards for Trenched and HMH yesterday.

Trenched: a little over 60,000 sold so far
Half Minute Hero: close to 15,000 sold so far.

trenched has to be the best selling downloadable double fine game so far, it's actually selling after week 1 which is great.

for a game thats kind of niche, I have to think they are pretty happy with the HMH numbers so far.

I liked Splosion Man (bought it the second it came out) but don't feel compelled to play any more of it - seems like a bad idea for a sequel

Dead Block is a kind of interesting tower defense/exploration mix, but I find it kind of boring.

MLB BOBBLEHEADS is actually kind of fun for a little $10 baseball game, but I'm not sure if theres a season mode at all, also I suck at these games so not for me!

Deadliest Warrior 2 seemed cool, but it's not my thing.
