You order yourself a combo and an extra sandwich for your son and explain that you will be sharing fries with your son. However, your son says he wants his own fries. You elaborate further that it would be ideal to just share fries since your son never finishes his own fries. Your son says that today might be the the day that he will finish his own fries. Depending the age, if there is a pattern my kid isn't finishing certain meals, I'm not buying him that specific meal anymore in the first place. My parents were big growing up on finishing your plate, especially if you asked for the specific item on your plate.
