I know that in many small towns in the Deep South and the Midwest, HS Football is life for the community. Some highschools have stadiums worth millions of dollars. They rival an NFL stadium. Its insane. But the sport is very dangerous and I do think banning it to people under 18 should be looked into. But I worry it could literally spark a civil war maybe. Highschool Football fans can be pretty intense

The south would never let that happen. No southern politician would vote for it regardless of party.

The school district I grew up in and still live in would see it as a mercy killing. Our Varsity football team has had 1 winning season since 1995. Back when I was in school our hockey and softball teams were really good while in other sports we mostly did okay.
