I really feel like the budget went all to the boss battles in FF16.

While the side quests had good writings, the mission part was boring.

they both have issues. ff16 was boring. rebirth is bloated like a mf and one of the most awkwardly acted games i've ever played.

at least rebirth has other characters you can play as.

I don't think FFXVI was budgeted poorly tbh, it was just made poorly. You can tell it was made by MMO devs.

You're very lucky then, lol. Rebirth's VA honestly sounded fine to me. XVI did have fantastic VA though, can't deny that.

But I believe as a game/RPG, Rebirth is very engaging and fun to play for me.

i don't have a problem with the actual timbre/sound of the voices they have for the characters in the game. but it's like...the inflections they use. howthey say what they're saying. the animations/behaviors almost everyone has in the game. it's so unnatural and weird.

Oh, the motion capture outside of action scenes. Yeah, it's very exaggerated and anime-like, which feels weird with a realistic art style.

It's a bit bloated, but I enjoy the exploration.

Also the original was already a bit "anime". It's just that FF usually use a photorealistic style
