Karen wants to fast-track a medical career and can only do so in the lax state of Indiana. She has to change her name to avoid any repercussions. The series has her as a side character to the local government employees.

I like this idea. Maybe the first episode inspired the other boss so much, he forced his workers to memorize every line of the first episode and has a slow burning Trainwreck awkward feel to it the whole time.

To add on to the idea to make it more cutting edge, the boss gets fired in the very first episode for being like Michael Scott but the documentary crew still stays and the new boss takes a new spin on the character in a most realistic way to modern times.
