Came in to say this. In addition to the crossovers it has with the different regions of games, it also references earlier Legend of Heroes games within the in game fiction.

Trails, definitely. No other JRPG series really comes close with its interconnectivity and plethora of titles.

Plenty do, your just not looking hard enough. With Suikoden, Characters from previous games show up in the later games. There's also Shadow Hearts, where Roger Bacon shows up throughout all 3 games. Xenoblade is yet another one. The list goes on.

Suikoden and the SH games don't hold a candle to the Trails series as far as interconnectivity goes.
