I want to buy one. The only requirements i have is 2-300 dollars, supports 256gb(or more!) microSD and has tactile buttons. I do not want to use my phone, or even an old cell phone, so if that's all you came here to say tough potatoes. I haven't bought one in a while but the last one I had was a Fiio X1 gen 2 which was fairly barebones yet awesome, and then a handful of Cowon ones(D3, M2 are the ones I can recall). I suspect the market may be different than when I was in the game. ... Copied to Clipboard!

A lot of the major brands have transitioned to touchscreen + Android devices but some have basic phyisical volume/playback buttons. Fiio devices support up to 1-2TB SD cards. Bespoke audio players these days are only really intended for audiophiles.
If you know where to look you might want to consider getting a modified iPod Classic with an SSD and battery replacement/upgrade. --- Thanks for reading! ... Copied to Clipboard!
