It would take place in Tobey Maguires Spider-Man universe as a sequel to No Way Home.

Peter Parker was forced to retire as Spider-Man and his and Mary-Janes teenage daughter May becomes Spider-Girl and dates Normie Osborne, the son of Harry Osborne.

Would I be down with a movie about the best damn Spiderperson ever created? Hell yeah I would. Mayday is the best thing to have spun (heh) out of the franchise.

Depends. I prefer one of the spider-women. Not Gwen.

And deal with a collective "REEEEEEE" from the neck beards for using an existing comic character? Why yes. Yes I would.

Who is the kid with the inhaler supposed to represent? The Penguin? I can only guess that because of the color of his clothes, but I don't understand why he would have an inhaler to begin with.

This for me as well.

Madam Web already goes completely over my head because the only character I know of with that name was a very old woman who spoke to Peter Parker in riddles during the 90's cartoon.

Bane.

I was thinking Hugo Strange until you pointed out the inhaler.

Bane was my second guess because of the inhaler since I figured The Penguin was supposed to be represented from the poster, along with Catwoman and Croc.

That's who Madam Web is in the comics too. The movie makes no damn sense.

Give me Jessica Drew as Spider-Woman, damn it. The motherfucking queen. Although I do like her black suit much better. But the fans ruined that. >_>

"Preferred" as opposed to what? What am I losing in this deal? If it's Madame Webb, no. Haven't seen it yet, but I am interested in the Sony-Marvelverse. And I sure as fuck ain't giving up any of the other spider movies.

Anyway, I'd be interested in your scenario if the bring back the plot point of Norman (or someone else, since he's supposed to be good now) having secretly kloned Peter and MJ's daughter as a baby and SCIENCE'd her into being a human-sympiote hybrid. We never find out which is the original, but April Parker still firmly believes it's her.

If not, just give me something with Silk and Araa and we good.

Nope, hasn't been in years.
The current Madame Web is Julia Carpenter, the second Spider-Woman, she's in her 30s or forties. Funnily enough, both the original and the legacy character are in the movie. Cassandra Web is just aged down, while Julia Carpenter is in her Spider-Woman/Arachne stage of her life. At least I assume she is as I haven't watched the movie yet. I just know both of them are in there and that the main character is Cassandra Web.

Might be off here, but I seem to recall Spiderverse or something clearing that up. Going to research for a bit as I haven't read anything Mayday beyond her own book for years

When I said "We never find out", I meant this time in the kontext of this hypothetical movie. No need to retread the past stories step-by-step.

But I'd still appreciate it if you found out.

Oooh, I assumed you were talking about the comics as I don't generally see people mention Mayday or April. Judging from what I can find, it's still up in the air. There has never been actual confirmation, but the general consensus is that April is the clone.
Still...always nice to encounter a fellow Spider-Girl fan in the wild. The comic existed as long as it did because of the passionate people reading it.

I... I am so sorry to disappoint you, but I haven't actually read the komic. >_> If my life were different, I def see myself buying loads of komics, but in this reality, I've only bought 2 my entire life.

Mayday is something I looked up and really stuck with me. Norm doing something so fucked up, serving a serious gut-punch to all parties involved, because the lives of spider-people just have to be so damn tragic. Fuckin kanon-events.

Apparently the movie is a prequel to Spider-Man. Set before Peter is even born, possibly. So that might be why she is young in the story.
