Deadpool telling the kid not to kill the headmaster because killing is wrong despite all the killing of grunts that happened previously. The real Deadpool would let the kid kill him or do it himself.

Also, Deadpools death scene went on for way too long. His friends just stood around as he was dying as of it were some super serious emotional scene. No punchline. No jokes. Then he recovered. It was just tedious boredom. I was expecting his friends to just start checking their watch or look bored and walk away. That would have been something. But no. Played completely straight.

The movie shot itself in the foot right out of the gate by not only perpetuating one of my most hated tropes - kill off the love interest because we don't know what to do with her after our hero's already won her and it'll make him feel real sad and stuff - but also by patting themselves on the back in the jokey fake opening credits for being shocking about it when everyone with a functioning cerebral cortex saw it coming a mile away.

Damn shame too, because the rest of the movie was hilarious. And yes, they undid it by the end of the movie. But it was still tough to get over that initial faceplant.

The main problem was that the kid Deadpool was trying to protect was not likable. In fact, he was downright miserable.

At the end I was actually cheering for the villain to win, not something that you want in a superhero movie.
