The whole point of Ali and Sukune getting a sequence of traditional protagonist's arcs, culminating in an absolute loss to Baki, is that Baki the character is literally stronger than the plot. The only way he can "feed" his strength anymore is by devouring other main characters.

This ties all the way back to his fights with his dad. In the same way that Baki usurps the plot of other protagonists, Yujiro can only get a buzz from people with their own massive legacies. Kaku with his hundred-something years of kung fu, Musashi with his historical iconography, and Baki, who now has more than 30 years of the author's life given to making his manga.

Fucking, if you wanted stock standard shonen arc bullshit, you should've picked a series that didn't have at least two self-urinating scenes an arc. Pay attention.
