Wow, okay. So I thought "We're not getting it until next year then". Nope! We were supposed to be getting it next year, now we're getting it the year after next! Then he shows up again at the end to wake her up. Saying he stalks her is just blatantly untrue, so Rachel is either confused or deliberating misconstruing the movie. :v I don't think it's that crazy to suggest they should have found someone who actually appreciates the legacy of the original to play Snow White. I think they meet three times with the second meeting being them setting up a date and then when he shows up for it she's dead and he literally brings her back to life with a light kiss, which is super problematic. FortuneCookie 10/27/23 8:40:40 PM #29:	Snow White was never their best animated movie -- except when it was their only animated movie. Their second film, Pinocchio, is honestly the better movie. And that film has been topped several times. I don't have any interest in seeing this film. I don't begrudge any of the actors getting roles. It just seems a little forced to have Snow White with a medium dark complexion (unless they want to make her HAIR white as snow) and tall "dwarves." I think Disney is letting the social media version of social justice dictate their decisions a little too much. I mean, King Triton had to wear a shirt in the live action Little Mermaid? Seriously? We've gotten to the point where the male chest is offensive? Most of what you see on social media is blind outrage. You have people espousing their bigotries with no consequences. You have people getting upset because of personal entitlements. And you have people who are using social injustice as an excuse to be angry when they're most likely outraged over other things. You can't stay ahead of people who want to be offended. If anyone is moved to true passion over Snow White, I feel bad for them.
