Tho the only scene i remember is that Murphy's dad visited the Police Department, Murphy's partner called him by his name, and both he and his fathered answered. I really liked the TV series (not the made for TV four movies) - yes it didn't have the graphic/gore of the movies but it went so much further into what being trapped in the mechanical body did to Murphy's psychology (how he was a husband/son/father etc.) The second movie kind of touched on this when they showed all the following attempts as using human brains leading to disaster ...
