Nausicaa is not my favorite. It's almost like a very rough draft of Mononoke which I much prefer. I can see the charm in it, of course, it's just like not enough happens and I don't feel drawn to the characters like I do in the latter, ya know?

Mononoke Grave of Fireflies Kikis Howls a lot of that is probably nostalgia though. Spirited Away and Howls Moving Castle are the only ones I've seen. The former was good; didn't care so much for the latter (watchable, but nothing special).

I haven't seen all of them, but Princess Mononoke & Spirited Away would be my favorites. Ponyo & Arietty are also much loved because I used to watch them a lot with my little girl. And while Grave of the Fireflies was technically brilliant, it was such a horrific & miserable experience that I never will sit through it again. ... Copied to Clipboard!
