I took my sister and nieces to the Cincinnati Zoo last October, but the last time I was there was like 1997. My nieces had fun but I saw some of the animals just all alone in a small glass enclosure, with no mate or friend to keep them company and it just made me sad.

There is no zoo in my area. Closest thing we have is a nature reserve, but there's barely anything there.

Unfortunately, the Austin Zoo is trash.
The Dallas and San Antonio ones are great tho.

Been to the L.A. zoo two or three times now. It's alright, but I prefer the San Diego zoo. Only been down there once, but I want to go again.

I havent been to the zoo nearest where I currently live and I doubt I ever will. Ive heard its a pretty harrowing place to visit if you have western expectations about the welfare of the animals.

St. Louis has one of the best zoos in America. And it is taxpayer supported so general admission is free. Really need to go before it gets cold.

As I said, I havent been. But Ive been told that the animals are kept in awful conditions. Seeing how some people treat their dogs here and the fact that nobody can do anything about it makes me very inclined to believe it.
