Terrible marketing. Especially when the family decides to rescue Jamie. Mighty "convenient" there was a flying beetle machine to take you to the evil genius island lair. (Which wouldn't have been so odd if they'd shown it's existence - aka foreshadowing - when Ted Kord's superhero base was first discovered.) Plus, I'm really sick of superheroes being portrayed as not wanting their newfound powers. Seriously, you just got "powers beyond those of mortal men"... and you're complaining?!?! Fuck that shit, I'd be happy as a clam. And why was there a major US city in the Florida Keys?!? Hurricanes are a regular occurrence in Florida... and you'd be rebuilding every year. ~~Also, if they were renting their house... why did the end have them come back to rebuild it? It's not their property.~~ Finally, why did a megacorp have a private army? Government's really don't like that sort of thing... unless your are Russia. But exceptions prove the rule. --- Addendum: ~~The scene of the private megacorp army storming the Reyes house was a nearly one-for-one reenactment of the footage of the Elian Gonzalez fiasco.~~ ~~And the flashback memory scene of the main OMAC bad guy was a redo of Vietnam War footage... but now in Guatamala?~~ --- "History shows again and again that nature points out the folly of man.
