in the 2000s one of the old shows had a special called Turtles Forever that had those turtles meet the original black and white 80s comic turtles, and the turtles from the 80s cartoon. It introduced the multiverse to the franchise

Might be cool if they made a movie someday where every incarnation of the turtles have to team up

it would be a mess do to how many characters have to get crammed into none would get a chance to shine

even if we stick with just tv shows thats 5 teams of turtles

7 if we add movies

Sorry @Zikten but I totally agree with @AceMos comment.

Turtles Forever is basically the limit you can do to give everyone a starring role and a chance to shine. Anymore and it would just become a mess and convoluted.

They should do a multiversal story with a 5-6 Turtle Team, each one coming from a different series. So you could have Jennika from the comics, 80s Donatello, 2012 Michaelangelo, Rise Leo, movie Raphael and the Last Ronin makes an appearance.

Even then, IIRC the 80s turtles barely did anything. They just got clowned on by the 2003 turtles which made the whole special feel masturbatory.

Okay, but only if it's a gigantic crossover clusterfuck involving SWAT Kats and Toxic Crusaders.

I don't understand TMNT has so many characters, Why would you just have multiples of the same team of 4/5?

You can have the Casey Jones, Florida Frogs, Ace Duck, Usagi Yojimbo, Mona Lisa, Walkabout, Panda Khan, Doctor El, Sgt. Bananas, Ray Filet, Sandstorm, Monty Moose, etc. fighting all the bad guys like Slash, Metalhead, Groundchuck, Dirtbag, etc.

The Last Ronin is already their Endgame. They just need to animate it.

If you had bothered to goto youtube and looked up Turtles Forever before posting this comment you will see that only the 1987 Turtles, 2003 Turtles and The Comic Book Turtles appear in the movie. Venus De Milo doesn't appear in those continuities.

Venus De Milo only appears in Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation and that wasn't shown in this movie for 2 reasons:

1. Peter Laird one of the creators of TMNT has an intense hatred for the character.
2. The rights to that series were sold by Saban Entertainment who made it several years earlier to Disney.

Could have sworn that she was seen on one of the monitors in the multiverse scene, turns out it was the big one that was not shown.
I remembered wrong.
