kentucky and kansas. 3 very red states iirc. Is there any state where most voters would really vote to make it illegal in almost all cases? Another thing, do you believe that most pro life politicians really are very anti abortion in real life, or are doing that just to mostly appease voters?

I'm inclined to say no. Lots of folks are "anti-abortion" until they need one. And speaking of which...

No. We know for a fact that many pro-life politicians will push for an abortion the second it could affect their political careers

In Ohio, we have a special election next Tuesday where anti-abortion groups are trying to change the state constitution so a 60% threshold is established for changes (rather than 50%+1). The GOP (and a lot of out of state dark money) is supporting this because they know that the Dems want to put abortion rights on the ballot

Abortion rights are popular everywhere. Exactly why I want people to resist these draconian laws everywhere they exist in any way they can.

I haven't looked at polling numbers, but I'm crossing my fingers that it gets voted down. It would basically let a red state lock in red state bullshit with an insurmountable 60% threshold to fix it

This is an example of how a (vocal) minority can rule in a representative republic.

Missouri almost had this happen, but they didn't end up bringing it to vote.
