as if it were a bad thing to live in a nicer location

as if it were a bad thing to live in a nicer place

as if it were a bad thing to have nicer clothes

as if it were a bad thing to eat better food

as if it were a bad thing to go do more things

as long as it's all carefully budgeted/planned out, nothing wrong with lifestyle creep

No, its used by people who want to retire early or at a reasonable age. As your income goes up, you need to avoid lifestyle creep unless you want to work forever.

The idea of retiring has literally never crossed my mind in any serious capacity. Guess it makes sense I haven't heard of it.

I think lifestyle creep isnt just getting nicer things as you make more money theres an aspect of getting into heavier amounts of debt and stretching things so if something happens with your job you get caught with your pants down financially.
