Overall, didn't even really feel like Black Mirror with a major de-emphasis on technology and the introduction of the supernatural into the black mirror cannon

Joan is Awful (7/10)-Literally average black mirror, but average BM is better than 90% of other shows, fine for the kick off episode

Loch Henry (7.5/10)-A great episode, but hardly any technology in it

Beyond the Sea (8/10)-The most emotionally resonant, but I feel like it really pulled it's punch by cutting away at the very end...what happens next would've been the most interesting part of the ep

Mazey Day (5/10)-I kept thinking, "what if she was a werewolf lol"...and then she became a werewolf and it was horrible. Also had a lack of tech

Demon 79 (6/10)-What...no technology and more supernatural wtf. Also no clue how this would fit into the Black Mirror timeline

I just got done making a topic for each episode as I watched them, if you'd care to discuss any of them in particular. I do agree that most of these weren't science fiction...unless you consider science fiction a subset of the fantasy genre, which I don't. I can only imagine that was the angle they decided to go with.

Loch Henry wasnt supposed to be about tech.

It turned the Black Mirror on the audience to expose their obsession on True Crime stories, without thinking of the fallout from the victim(s).

And Demon 79 was supposed to be a Red Mirror episode which I assume is a cancelled spin-off series dealing with supernatural stuff

I haven't watched episode 5 yet. Unless it really shits the bed, this season is overall better than last season.
