bought second hand (used), all the damage was already done to the animal and she's no longer supporting the industry, rather she's making sure the animal is properly respected and gets more life/usage out of it's sacrifice

I feel like it conflicts with a vegan lifestyle broadly, but I agree with her philosophy on this specific issue. Second hand goods give longer life to things, which is always a positive. I feel the same way about "rehoming" taxidermied animals. I don't support trophy hunting, but if an animal died for that, then I don't want it ending up in the dump, either. Better they're honored in some fashion, imo.
