This is true, although it is more anti equality, than just anti black. Refusing to be "woke" is choosing to be a ignorant, hateful bigot.

So I guess we are gonna get an influx of political bait threads on CE now.

It started as a counter to the black people using the term woke to refer to themselves.

So they mock the term by applying it to absurd things they find random black people saying, then pretending it represents all black people.

Then they start using it ironically to make fun of liberals who try to help black people in any way.

Then they start tying it to boycotts of those evil socialist business and schools so their base is frothing mad just at the mere thought of the term.

Now that the base has fully embraced that "woke" = black people = liberal = socialism = bad, they start applying it to other things they don't like. Gay person? Woke. Trans person? Woke. Women? Wokety woke!

And every time they apply it to a new group or action, their base nods in agreement. Like pavlovs dog, only for bigoted dipshits.

Woke hasn't meant "anti-black" for a long time now. It's not just about targeting one minority group they don't like... it's going after all the groups they want gone.

Yes. It's only recently targeting lgbtq because the GOP have moved the goal posts on their southern strategy. It's not going too well for them.

It's just not true to make this out to ONLY an anti black thing when we know for a fact they use the word woke for virtually anything they don't like.

Woman issues
Seeing a Mexican or virtually any non white person.
Lbgtq
And so much more.

Woke usage from right wingers is not only just anti black.

I kinda wonder why there's not way more of a push to just start unironically using "woke" as a positive thing. If they can use it to mean "literally anything we as bigots don't like," why can't we use it to mean "literally any compassionate thing we can do for one another." They'll just have to end up moving on to a new scary word at some point regardless, might as well help speed it along.
