KhlavicLanguage 05/25/23 11:54:29 PM #3:	i went to HS in 2006-2010 and it was definitely already niche by that point. popular kids didnt listen to it, athletic kids didnt listen to it. the crusty nerdy-but-bad-at-school kids really liked numetal like slipknot and korn, but they also loved eminem and stuff so idk if they were really metalheads. then there was maybe 5 dudes in the whole school who wore leather jackets and were really into black metal or death metal and played guitar a lot. <cite>KhlavicLanguage posted [p:973721757] in How come m... Record companies don't want to give metal bands Master of Puppets recording budgets anymore. It has to do with mp3s and streaming killing off physical media. They weren't unpopular either but I don't think metal helped their case. One of them was really into it and always wore metal shirts but was never annoying about it.
