Because a big draw of "cutting the cable" was the cost savings factor and people now feel bait and switched?

Many complaints against them are valid. They simply dont offer the same value that they once did.

I'll be honest, while Netflix sucks these days and I don't really care about it, I can't help but think they're well within their right to crack down on password sharing.

Netflix has made some bad decisions but I'm surprised by the number of people who blame Netflix for their own success, which taught a lot of companies that they were leaving lots of money on the table by not just having their own subscription service.

Like every time a company is like "We're pulling all of our content from Netflix and making Touchstone Pictures+" people are like "**** Netflix for not having any content!"

Is it really stabbing your customers in the back to say that individuals using the service need to pay for it instead of accessing the service from someone else who paid for it?

Ditto. Before Netflix was getting regular money from me each month, now they're getting $0 from me.

If something shows up on there that I REALLY want to see? I'll just sub for a month and binge it. They're going to be making a LOT less money off me now since I refuse to maintain a constant sub at the price it's now at.

That's Netflix's problem, they don't want people to cancel. So they need to give people a reason for their purchase.

The problem is they use a shotgun method and they end up canceling good shows if they don't get remarkably high viewership in the first month.

Can't cancel something you never paid for to begin with.

You're right. They're a business, that charges for a plan with options that already included multiple simultaneous devices. So people were already paying for multiple people to stream Netflix. Hmm....

I just cancelled after 8 years because of this. Built myself a 40TB Unraid server instead. Oh well...

I honestly cant believe people still pay monthly subs. Each streaming service gets like 2 months per year from me. You all need to learn patience and to stay away from spoilers. Just wait until the show is out and binge it. And use the rest of the month to try something new on the service.
