I think he genuinely regrets the presence he created for himself years ago and desperately wants to pivot away from it. Even though Im sure him and I would probably disagree on a few philosophical points as to why that is I still empathize. Reminds me a lot of a video Adam Ragusea made a few years ago about how you really need to be careful about what you put out into the world, because if it blows up theres a good chance thats all youll ever be known for. He used Jani Lane from Warrant as his example. Or as most people would know him as, they guy who sang cherry pie. A song he hated being associated with till the day he drank himself to death in a hotel room. Which is kind of where Ians at. Like it or not hes always gonna be the content cop guy. Not saying he cant salvage an audience for boxing or whatever he wants to do moving forward. But the vast majority of people have always been there for the drama. Back then it was about him taking shots at annoying content creators and now its about him falling off.
